I am sorry I don't see a way for people who have been indoctrinated and fed a steady diet of hate all their lives to change. I am sorry some of our interests are similar but our values are so fundamentally incompatible. I am sorry you can't accept me as I am and that you don't see those values as anything important. I am sorry I am so conflicted because we are fundamental opposites and yet two sides of the same coin. I am sorry I can't see a way to bridge that gap without becoming someone I'd hate and loathe. I am sorry that I should hate you but I am oft angry instead. I am sorry that I should repudiate you entirely but can't. I am sorry that some part of me won't shut up about you. I am sorry I can't make any of this make sense. I am sorry that I no longer can find any footing on constantly shifting sand.
