Why do some people lose their minds when someone likes something they don’t? It’s like, calm down—it’s not that deep! I don’t have to enjoy what you enjoy, and you don’t have to enjoy what I enjoy. But no, some folks act like their entire identity is tied to whether or not everyone else shares their exact tastes.
And then comes the aggression. Why the hostility? You don’t like my favorite movie, song, or whatever—cool, move on! It’s not an attack on your personality just because I enjoy something you don’t. Not everything is a battle to be won or lost.
What’s so hard about live and let live? People need to chill, because this unnecessary drama over personal preferences is exhausting. Just let people like what they like, and life would be so much easier.
