I really like this guy. He is so sweet and gives me so much attention, has a full time job, he is supportive. He's all these good things except I just found out he is married. Wife and 4 kids. Like I feel so stupid. I should have known it was to good to be true. I hate my self.

We are constantly told we need someone else to be whole, but that’s a lie—if you can’t be happy with yourself no relationship is going to save you. Love doesn’t fix deep-rooted issues like trust or respect. It certainly doesn’t justify mistreatment. It’s messy, complicated, and sometimes downright frustrating, but we’ve been sold this fantasy that it’s supposed to be perfect. Maybe it’s time to stop idolizing love and focus on building real, healthy connections with ourselves and others.
