my moms boyfriend and his kids are driving me crazy they have been together for a year and a half and i didn’t know he had three kids the youngest is almost seven and i hate him the younger two can’t even get dressed without my moms help and still mess it up they take baths together but don’t even bathe just sit there
her boyfriend feels uncomfortable when i wear a sports bra even though i only do it when people are asleep apparently he also thinks i should wear a bra all the time i don’t even have big b#### but somehow it’s an issue for him
the bigger problem is he doesn’t take care of his own kids his nieces randomly show up and my mom feels obligated to take care of them too plus the nieces boyfriend she constantly complains about being exhausted but refuses every solution i offer
fast forward to today i leave my room to take out the trash and the youngest squeals in my ear he barely talks just screeches and makes animal noises i get annoyed but walk away muttering that i don’t want kids if this is what they’re like my mom gets mad at me as if she was the one who got screamed at she compares me to them but i actually went outside as a kid these kids barely do their dad just hands them screens to keep them occupied each one has a tablet computer tv sometimes all three they’re spoiled and act like they own everything
i try reminding myself they’re just kids but this isn’t parenting it’s neglect their mom wants nothing to do with them which means i’ll be stuck dealing with them during summer break they’re always loud kicking my wall running around late at night playing with noisy toys at ungodly hours there’s even worse stuff but this is the latest frustration
on top of all this we’re broke my mom pays rent her boyfriend pays bills and food is bought either daily or weekly no real grocery shopping if i want something i have to buy it myself last summer i spent 200 on groceries trying to help out but my mom refused to use the meal kits i got because they were cheap and she didn’t like the gravy
