Why do we need a 45-minute Zoom call to confirm what was already written in the Slack thread? Half the people on the call are muted, pretending to listen while catching up on real work. The other half are asking questions that make it clear they didn’t read the agenda and assuming there even was one. Meetings have become corporate theater. A time wasting performance to make it look like something's happening. Here’s a radical idea: if you don’t have a decision to make or a problem to solve, don’t book the d### meeting. Respect people’s time. Let them work.
