After helping out financially (funding my sister's children's full basic needs for their university education, lending money for their visa show money), it hurts when they think that it's owed to them and it's my responsibility to show up no matter what. I see them buying fancy thank you gifts for all their friends after everything went well. And for me, just a thank you and a bag of potato chips and a complimentary eye mask from the airline. I love my family but why am I confused about this???
