I'm so tired of hearing straight people complain about 'too many gay characters' in TV shows. It's infuriating.
For decades, LGBTQ+ people were invisible in media. Now, we're finally starting to see ourselves reflected on screen, and you're complaining that it's 'too much'? That's not just annoying, it's hurtful.
You know what's 'too much'? It's the endless parade of straight, cisgender characters that dominated TV for years. That's what's 'too much'.
I won't apologize for demanding more representation. I won't apologize for wanting to see myself, my friends, and my community reflected in the media we consume.
Get over it. We're not going anywhere.
