With people like Doug Ford gutting local democracy in Ontario and figures like Mark Carney cozying up to the centrist-liberal elite while pushing repressive legislation (like the proposed hate/terror symbol law that risks overreach), Canada is sliding closer to the kind of illiberalism we've seen in Hungary or Modi’s India. I'm tryin to Uber but when orders are $3.75 for 5.5 miles (not round trip btw) it make no logical sense to accept that order. I doesn't cover wear and tear and the amount of time it would take to complete the order is 34mins. Its not logical!!!!! These types of order do not make for any kind of "payable wage". Minimum wage where i'm at is 7.25 which does not help pay any ones bills. I hate the CEO's up top who are stuffing their pockets because they want. The base pay used to be more than $2.00
