The more people I meet and the more stories I hear, the more I start to believe that people can be... disappointing. Cheating, lying, demanding too much, giving too little, being overly present, or completely absent—it’s like we’re all walking contradictions. Are we really this flawed, or is it just the way life is?

GUYS, I HAVE A CRUSH ON THIS GUY I’VE KNOWN ONLINE FOR 7 YEARS, AND WE’RE FINALLY MEETING IN REAL LIFE NEXT MONTH!!! I’m so nervous—I can’t even handle it. Oh my goodness, this is HUGE. I don’t know what to do with myself right now! The countdown has officially begun, and every day feels like an eternity. I’m just hoping everything goes smoothly because this is literally a dream come true for me!

Morning routines have become a nightmare thanks to these overconsumption-obsessed influencers.

Cutting up $20 worth of fruit just to dunk your face in an ice bowl for 10 seconds, opening a fresh bottle of water for the same purpose. Face masks, hair bonnets, mouth tape, nasal openers, belly button plugs for castor oil, breast pillows to prevent wrinkles, endless supplements, and a lineup of overpriced face products. Every morning, it’s a new turmeric-ginger shot, a fresh bottle of green juice, and throwing away the rest of a banana just to use the peel as a scrub. Hair rollers under bonnets, minoxidil, derma rollers—it’s absurd.

What’s worse is the impact on teenagers who see these posts and feel like they need to keep up. These routines cost upwards of $100 a day, contribute to growing landfills with all the plastic waste, and are completely unnecessary. It’s not funny, it’s not aspirational,...Read Full Rant

If I hit the jackpot, life would finally open up to possibilities I’ve only dreamed of. The freedom to chase passions, embrace opportunities, and genuinely live—that’s what having money means to me.

Without it, everything feels like a closed door. It’s exhausting to live with just the bare minimum, scraping by while watching your energy, drive, and potential slowly erode. And when you add the weight of genetic challenges into the mix, it feels like the world is working against you.

Money wouldn’t just change my circumstances; it would amplify who I am—turning struggles into strength, restrictions into freedom, and turning a dull, constrained existence into something vibrant and meaningful.

My mom drives me absolutely up the wall. Ever since she lost her job as a special ed teacher in January, I’ve been financially supporting her. Recently, I had a gout flare-up in my foot and couldn’t walk. I gave her money and asked for a few essentials—medication, some weed from the dispensary, and food that wouldn’t make my condition worse. What did she bring? A half-empty bottle of acetaminophen, a tiny amount of street weed wrapped in a napkin, and six ham and cheese Hot Pockets—foods I can’t even eat because they trigger my gout.

Whenever she needs something, I step up. But when I need help, it’s like she puts in the bare minimum effort, and I’m left dealing with the consequences. She hasn’t even applied for a new job because she can’t figure out how to update her résumé. It’s the same pattern I’ve seen my whole...Read Full Rant

I’m honestly so tired of seeing women in their 20s treated like children. It’s frustrating to watch society infantilize grown women as if we’re incapable of making adult decisions. There’s this recent drama about a pop singer claiming she doesn’t know any parents her age who aren’t miserable. She’s 27! Somehow, this ignited a chorus of people agreeing that women her age are 'too young' for parenthood.

This isn’t new. There’s this persistent notion that women over 23 are still kids because 'your brain isn’t fully developed until 25,' so clearly we’re immature and incapable of functioning as adults. As a 28-year-old woman, let me be clear: I’m a young adult, but I’m still an adult. And we face enough challenges being taken seriously without adding this patronizing narrative to the mix.

I get that some people are still figuring their lives out well into their 20s and 30s—it’s tough...Read Full Rant

It’s absolutely exhausting seeing wealthy kids just breeze through life without ever really struggling. I’ve been grinding full-time since I was 18, and now at 23, I’m finally thinking I might afford putting myself through a four-year degree. That means working my full-time job while earning credits—and no, there’s no room for the ‘classic college experience’ here.

What really hits hard is the privilege they’ll never acknowledge. Nice cars, vacations, connections handed to them on a silver platter. And the kicker? The constant posturing, pretending they’re self-made. It’s infuriating.

The other day, I scrolled Instagram after a 12-hour shift, and this 22-year-old entrepreneur with hundreds of thousands of followers was showing off his real estate hustle. According to him, all his money came from flipping $30 shoes on eBay. Turns out, his dad’s a high-level executive with years of experience—and yet this kid is trying to sell some fairy tale...Read Full Rant

My mom is the absolute worst backseat driver. She doesn’t just comment on my driving—she critiques every single move I make, like she’s some kind of expert, which is hilarious considering she’s had more accidents than me and my dad combined.

One time, she even got us stopped by traffic police because she insisted I take the wrong lane, convinced it was the right one. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t.

And living in Zambia, where the roads are already a nightmare, you need to focus. But how can I do that when she’s yapping nonstop? I swear, sometimes I fantasize about driving off the road just to shut her up.

I never volunteer to drive her. I have my own car, but whenever she’s feeling sick or lazy, she ropes me into her errands, ruining my plans so I can chauffeur her to places I don’t even want to go.

Every...Read Full Rant

Facebook is an absolute joke. I try to create a simple page for my mom’s landscaping business—landscaping, for crying out loud—and it tells me my page breaks norms. What norms? Cutting down a tree? Planting flowers? Is that too edgy for you, Facebook?

So, I think, fine, I’ll make a separate account to get around this nonsense. But the second I create it, BAM, it’s suspended. No explanation, no warning, just gone. Like, what kind of dystopian nonsense is this?
